Productivity Principles and Philosophy
The real art of productivity is not to do more, but to do what’s important.
More time to do what’s important means that you obtain what you really want.
Time is spent on the valuable things and not busyness for the sake of it.

I’d like to talk to you about some of the principles behind my systems and use of technology.
Really the main principle is all about reducing the amount of time we spend on tasks that we shouldn’t need to be doing and using technology for what its good at, doing repetitive tasks accurately.
Then for us as people, doing what Greg McKeown described in his book as ‘The disciplined pursuit of less but better’.
This leaves us with time to more active, or creative or just enjoyable things.
So really may website and the things I do for clients are really about reducing, removing and minimising the tasks you need to do by using technology and automation to do it for you.
So now large parts of my own business are now automated. Things like marketing and CRM, setting up meetings and so on. I’ve reduced email to a manageable level, and let’s face it, who wants more email. For me I now regularly achieve the nirvana of inbox zero.
Client Work
What I do for my clients, people like you, is help you put a system, a workflow, in place such that the technology supports what you do. You don’t have to fight it.
I look at how you do what you do, what software and tools you use, and what your pain points are. I then work with you to avoid overlap and duplication, and then join this workflow together with automation to free up your time to work on areas of your role that you enjoy.
It all sounds very simple…
… and in many ways for me it is. I’ve probably used all of the tools you have at some point in the past, but then I have continued to simplify my workflow to the way I have it set up today.
It’s a good point here to mention that I’m not going to tell you how to change the software you use, if it’s currently not working for you. It’s not really about the tools, it’s about how you use them. For example, I have a preference for Google, but you may be a Microsoft user.
So that’s it. That’s what I do and why I do it.

The whole process of moving our e-mail and files to G-Suite was transparent. We left the office on Friday evening and returned again on Monday morning and everything was done. Brilliant.
We really needed better integration to our marketing and customer management tools and Chris advised us that G-Suite would be a far better solution than the one we had. – We didn’t regret the decision, its so much easier now.
