Airtable Support

Fix, improve, and keep your Airtable setup running properly.

Airtable is flexible enough to build almost anything, which means there are a lot of ways for things to go wrong. Whether you have hit a problem you cannot fix, inherited a base you do not understand, or need someone to keep your setup running as your business changes, I can help.

I’m Chris Wray, an Airtable support specialist with over 25 years of experience in business systems. I’ve worked with more than 400 clients and built Airtable solutions across operations management, CRM, project tracking, inventory, HR, and client portals.

Working internationally. All work delivered remotely.

Airtable Support

Here’s what clients say about working together.

We’d learnt about Make.com and had a few attempts to link our CRM to our project management tool. We just couldn’t get the final steps to work. Chris not only solved the problem, but showed us why it was failing and how we could avoid similar issues on our other workflows.

IT Manager

Chris created a workflow for a task we had been doing manually for months. We must have saved around 8 hours per week by having him automate this for us.

What Airtable support looks like

Troubleshooting and fixes

Something is broken or not working the way it should. I will identify what is wrong and fix it: formulas, automations, permissions, view logic, integrations. Most issues I can turn around same day or next day once I have access.

Ongoing maintenance

For businesses where Airtable is central to how they operate, I offer retainer arrangements for regular updates, new feature builds, and day-to-day support as your needs change. You get a reliable person who knows your setup rather than explaining the context every time something comes up.

Inherited bases

Took over someone else’s Airtable setup and cannot make sense of it? I will audit what is there, document how it works, and either clean it up or give you an honest recommendation on whether a rebuild makes more sense.

Training

One-to-one or team training to bring people up to speed on how to use your existing Airtable base, or how to build in Airtable more generally. See the Airtable consultant page for more on training options.

Automation support

Airtable’s built-in automations, and integrations with tools like Make.com, Zapier, or direct API connections. If an automation has stopped working or you need new ones built, I can help. I also work across the connected tools to find where the problem actually is.

Performance and optimisation

If your base is getting slow, hitting record limits, or producing unreliable results, I will review the structure and recommend changes to keep it running well as the data grows.

Common Airtable support situations

  • A formula is returning the wrong result and you cannot work out why
  • An automation stopped running and you are not getting notifications
  • You need to add a new workflow to an existing base
  • Someone left the business and you need to understand their setup
  • Your base has grown and feels disorganised
  • You want to connect Airtable to another tool
  • You need to train a new team member on how to use your base
  • You have hit Airtable’s row or attachment limits and need advice on what to do next

Not sure if your problem is something I can fix? Book a free call and we will work it out.

How Airtable support works

  1. Free scoping call (30 minutes) — Tell me what you’re dealing with. I’ll ask a few questions, give you my honest assessment, and tell you what I can do and what it would cost. No charge for the call.
  2. Discovery session (optional) — For more complex situations, a focused session to go deeper into the problem and produce a written summary of what’s needed. Useful when the issue involves multiple tables, automations, or integrations.
  3. Fix or project work — I work through the issue or build. You see progress quickly and can give feedback as we go.
  4. Handover and documentation — When the work is done, I explain what changed and why. If the issue is likely to come up again, I’ll show you how to handle it yourself.

Why I do this work.

I work with businesses that use Airtable seriously, where it is not just a spreadsheet replacement but a core part of how they run their operations. When something goes wrong with a setup like that, it has real consequences.

Most of the support work I do is not particularly glamorous. Fixing a formula that stopped working. Untangling an automation that was set up by someone who has since left. Helping a team understand a base they inherited. Rebuilding something that has grown beyond what it was originally designed for.

I have been working with business systems for over 25 years and with Airtable since it became a serious tool for business operations. If something in your Airtable setup is causing problems, I can usually find it quickly.

Common questions about Airtable support

Do I need to be on a paid Airtable plan to work with you?

No. I work with Free, Team, and Business plan users. The right plan depends on your usage. I will give you honest advice on whether an upgrade makes sense for your situation.

Can you support an Airtable base someone else built?

Yes. I review and support bases built by others regularly. Give me access and I will figure out how it works and what needs attention.

How quickly can you turn around a fix?

For straightforward issues, often same day or next day. More complex work takes longer. I will always give you a clear timeline before starting.

Do you work with Airtable's API?

Yes. For integrations and custom connections, I work with the Airtable API directly and through automation platforms like Make.com.

I'm not sure if my problem is Airtable or one of the tools it connects to. Can you still help?

Yes. Integration issues are common and often involve multiple tools. I work across Airtable, Make.com, Zapier, and the connected tools to find and fix the root cause rather than just the symptom.

Airtable as part of a joined-up system

Airtable works best when it is connected to the other tools your business runs on. I typically use it as the operations database in a broader system, pulling in data from Pipedrive, syncing with project management tools like Asana, and connecting through Make.com to keep everything up to date automatically.

If you want to see how Airtable fits into a joined-up business setup, see the Business Operating System hub.

Need Airtable support? Let’s sort it.

Whether it is a quick fix or an ongoing arrangement, the first step is a free 30-minute call. Tell me what you are dealing with, I will give you a clear picture of what is involved and what it would cost. No obligation, no sales pitch.
